Driving a new movement in education
After more than two decades in the corporate world, most recently as Global VP for Digital at a $45 billion multinational, Andy James founded Taylo AI in 2023 to make a lasting impact on education.

A problem solver at heart, Andy has always been driven by a desire to tackle complex challenges and deliver meaningful change. As a devoted father of three, he has experienced first-hand the pressures facing families in both state and independent school systems.
When he saw how overstretched the education system had become, and how it was struggling to meet the needs of many pupils, teachers, and parents, he knew something had to change.

Drawing on his background in technology and transformation, Andy created Taylo to lead a new era of inclusive, personalised learning. One that meets children where they are, supports teachers in every classroom, and scales without compromise.

The story
behind Taylo AI
Inspired by one child. Built for everyone. Taylo AI was born from a very personal place. Andy’s daughter is bright, creative, and full of potential. But like so many children with dyslexia and slow processing, she found school an uphill battle. Each lesson became a source of stress rather than growth, slowly eroding her confidence and self belief. When she received the right support, she flourished. But when that support was no longer available, her progress slipped, and the cycle began again. As a parent, Andy saw this not as a one-off issue, but a systemic gap - a gap between what pupils need and what schools have the capacity to provide. Taylo was created to close that gap. What if every pupil had access to their own personal teaching assistant? One that understood how they learn, adapted in real time, and encouraged them every step of the way? Taylo AI brings that vision to life. A smart, responsive companion for every pupil - always present, always personal, always helping them move forward with confidence.
